Dr Simon Tucker – Dermatologist

Dr Simon Tucker has been a specialist in the field of dermatology for over 18 years, studying at the University of Manchester and relocating to Cairns in October 2009.

With a special interest in the early diagnosis and management of skin cancer, Dr Tucker offers full skin checks, skin cancer removal and the treatment of melanoma with the least invasive approach and minimal scarring, particularly with trickier areas such as on the nose, lips and ears; plus he has a reputation of being very gentle with anaesthetics.

Dr Tucker consults on all aspects of dermatology with great success treating acne and other inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis using systemic treatments, including biologics where necessary. He also performs the investigation of potential contact allergies relevant to eczema with patch testing.

Dr Anthony Mahler

MBBS (Hons) BMedSc (Hons) FRACGP, GradCertMedAcu

Dr Mahler obtained a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery with Honors, and a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honors from Monash University in 1996. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Dr Mahler has a special interest in Skin Cancer Medicine, and Sclerotherapy.

Dr Uri Scelwyn

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Uri Scelwyn has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 1979. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Scelwyn is also a founding member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, a member of the Australian College of Phlebology and of the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australia.

He has worked and trained in Australia and the UK and gained cosmetic medicine experience in the USA. His experience in skin cancer medicine and cosmetic medicine has seen him recognised as a trainer for Norseld Lasers in the Australasian Region. He has special interests in Skin Cancer Medicine, Medical and Cosmetic Lasers and Leg vein medicine.

Terry Hall – Senior Cosmetic Nurse

Registered Nurse

Ms Hall has worked as a registered nurse for more than 25 years – training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne and Central Gippsland Health Service Victoria. She has received accreditation in the areas of Laser Skin Rejuvenation, and Advanced Cosmetic Injecting Techniques.

A member of the Australian Nursing Council, Ms Hall has extensive experience in the fields of facial rejuvenation using dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections, microdermabrasion, chemical skin peels, dermastamp skin needling, laser skin rejuvenation, and hair removal.

Sharon Normington

Cosmetic Nurse

Sharon has worked as a registered nurse specialising in mental health. She became interested in non-surgical cosmetic treatments, and in 2012, completed a course in Manchester to prescribe and administer wrinkle relaxing and dermal filler treatments. Sharon has also completed training with aesthetic doctors in England and Munich to practise more advanced techniques and has experience in Genuine Dermaroller (micro-needling), chemical skin peels, professional grade skin care products and medical microdermabrasion.
